Brazilian Amethyst Church with UV Calcite
Description
A spectacular 6.35kg Brazilian Amethyst Church with UV-reactive Calcite, combining a deep purple amethyst crystal chamber with a striking natural calcite formation.
The tall cathedral-shaped specimen opens into a densely crystallised interior filled with sparkling violet amethyst druzy. Around the opening, natural banded agate creates a beautiful transition between the dark outer matrix and the purple crystal chamber.
What really sets this specimen apart is the substantial natural calcite formation growing along the right-hand side of the church. Under normal lighting it provides a beautiful cream-toned contrast against the amethyst, but under UV light the calcite fluoresces dramatically, creating an entirely different display.
The interior also has incredible natural depth, with clusters and formations projecting from the walls rather than simply forming a flat layer of druzy. At 6.35kg, this is a substantial collector specimen and an incredible statement piece for a crystal room, home, treatment space or display collection.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm, spiritual growth and intuition, while calcite is often associated with cleansing, clarity and the movement of stagnant energy.
